We do not charge readers. There is no subscription, no paywall and no mandatory sign-up to read what we publish.

How the site pays for itself

  3. The advertiser paysThe money comes to us, not from you.
  4. The content stays freeIt funds the next page we write.

Where the revenue comes from

  1. Programmatic advertisingMost of it. The ad spaces on our pages are sold through an automated auction. We do not choose which advertiser you see: the auction does, in real time, on every load.
  2. Partner commissionsWhen you click through to a partner from our site and sign up, we may receive affiliate commissions. This changes nothing about what you pay: the terms are the same you would find going directly to the provider.
  3. Rewarded adsSome tools, rewards and parts of the content unlock after you watch an ad. It is always optional and you always know before you click: the button says what will happen.
  4. Direct placementsSome spaces are sold directly to partners. When that happens, the space is labelled.

What is not for sale

The order of the rankings and the comparison tool. Position follows editorial criteria, described in our Editorial Policy. No position in those lists is sold, and paying more moves nobody up.

Review or approval of content. No advertiser or partner reads, edits or approves what we publish before we publish it.

Leaving things out. No partner can ask us to remove a true piece of information about a product, including their own.

What the commercial relationship can affect

Alongside the rankings, our pages carry partner blocks, labelled as recommended partners. Those blocks are commercial: a partner who pays us can appear in them, including above the content. They are always labelled, and they are not part of the ranking.

The difference matters, and it is simple: the ranking is editorial, the partner block is commercial. No partner enters one without passing our verification first, but passing verification is not the same as being the best option for you. To compare properly, use the ranking and the comparison tool.

The block below is a real ad, served exactly as on any other page of the site. It is here on purpose: this is how the advertising that pays for this page appears to you.

How to spot an ad

Every paid space is labelled. The exact wording may vary between "Advertisement", "Ad" or "Sponsored", depending on the technology serving it. What does not vary is that the label is there, above or beside the paid space.

What we are, and what we are not

This changes with the country and the kind of product we cover, so the version that applies to you is in the legal notice at the foot of this page.

In short, and true on any of our sites: we are an informational content and comparison portal. We do not sell any of the products we list, we are not responsible for the terms they offer, and signing up always happens on the provider's own site. The products come from institutions licensed by the competent regulators and from the respective organisations responsible for whatever we are comparing.
